Alberta Junior Forest Rangers
Explore the outdoors. Gain valuable training and work experience. Get paid!
Attention High School Students!
As a member of the Junior Forest Ranger (JFR) or Aboriginal Junior Forest Ranger (Aboriginal JFR) crew, you’ll participate
in a seven-week summer work experience program that allows you an opportunity to explore career paths in forestry, natural
resource management and earth sciences.
A typical working day will not look like any other job you’ve had before!
Take a look at what some of our crews were up to last summer:
Become a Junior Forest Ranger!
- Be part of a camp-based crew (40 spots available), an aboriginal community crew (five participating communities), a Treaty
